On November 4, 2025, Shandong Meto donated a 1000L intelligent brewing system and a 300L tower distillation unit to the School of Bioengineering at Qilu University of Technology. This donation marks a significant step in Meto’s commitment to the concept of “Industry-Education Integration and Collaborative Talent Development.” It aims to support the university’s brewing engineering program and foster the cultivation of high-quality, practice-oriented, and innovative talents for the brewing industry.
The donation ceremony was held at the Changqing Campus of Qilu University of Technology. Attendees included Mr. Liu, General Manager of Shandong Meto, along with representatives from the company’s technical and marketing teams, as well as university leaders, the School of Bioengineering administration, and faculty and students from the brewing engineering program.
In his speech, Mr. Liu stated:
“As a brewing equipment manufacturer rooted in Shandong and serving clients nationwide, Meto has always placed great importance on talent cultivation in the industry. Universities are the cradle of technological innovation and talent development, and the progress of brewing engineering education relies heavily on access to advanced equipment. Through this donation, we hope to bring our frontline process standards and technological achievements into the classroom, building a bridge between theoretical education and industrial practice.”
Mr. Liu further emphasized:
“The future competitiveness of the brewing industry ultimately lies in talent and technology. Through deeper collaboration with Qilu University of Technology, we hope not only to enhance students’ hands-on capabilities but also to cultivate a pool of technically proficient, process-oriented, and innovation-driven professionals for the industry.”
Representing the recipient, the Dean of the School of Bioengineering expressed sincere appreciation for Shandong Meto’s generous support and highly recognized the significance of this partnership in strengthening the academic program. Professor Cui highlighted that the new equipment would be directly used in core courses such as Baijiu Technology, Distilled Spirits Production, and Brewing Engineering Practice, and that the university plans to launch a “Craft Brewing Experience Workshop” open to all students—promoting the integration of traditional brewing culture with modern engineering technology.
